Seeing our Students
Equity, belonging, and literacy for all students

TEACHERS: Next school year will be here before you know it!

You haven’t even MET your new students yet, but you already know that only 30% or so will be able to read at grade level or above, significantly impacting their ability to learn your content.
You also probably know that only half of all students feel connected to school by the middle grades…dropping to only a third by the end of high school…and that students of color feel roughly 25% less connected to their school than white students do.
Your credential program probably didn’t prepare you for boosting equity, belonging, or literacy in your classes. You’re doing your best.

And every year, it gets harder to be the cheerleader…to coax learning out of disengaged, struggling readers.

You need…and deserve…a new game plan!

At the CLE Summer Institute, you’ll gain a simple and strong plan for addressing equity, belonging, and literacy in your classroom, no matter what grade level or content area you teach.

You’ll learn with top experts like Dr. Katie McKnight, Dr. Monica Washington, and Dr. Danny Brassell.
You’ll leave with specially curated strategies, resources, and examples that, together, will make up your new game plan for 2023-24.
You’ll use the game plan to build an inclusive and culturally relevant classroom culture that supercharges engagement…while diving into science of reading-based literacy activities so your students can GET your content!
Together, you and your students will rediscover the joys of teaching, learning, and just being together.
And if you have questions later? You’ll have access to a Facebook group to share your implementation story and get ideas.
