The bits and bytes on AI
Updated: Jul 12, 2022
You’ve probably used AI (artificial intelligence) and not realized it.
➡️Do you own a robotic vacuum?
➡️Do you have a smart speaker with Amazon Alexa or Google Home?
➡️Have you answered questions about health symptoms on a mobile app or website?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’ve experienced the power of AI.
According to IBM, “artificial intelligence leverages computers and machines to mimic the problem-solving and decision-making capabilities of the human mind.” Sounds futuristic and maybe, dystopian? AI and the Metaverse will power the next wave of human innovation making our lives happier, safer, and more productive.
Why does this all matter?
Future jobs will rely on creating the infrastructure for AI to exist. Students will need to learn how to interact on these new platforms. What skills are needed to be a part of this rapidly growing industry?

#STEM-based experiences are a great way to connect students with AI principles. That’s why the California League of Esports gets kids to interact with STEM concepts in a fun environment. Prepare your students for future jobs and engage them with video game competitions by hosting an Esports club or camp at your school.
