Wanna Hear a Joke?
Ever heard a student say, "school's not fun!"? Who can blame them? Sometimes we get wrapped up in the day-to-day education that we forget to smile and laugh.
Infusing humor into your school environment can have a lasting impact on young people's perception of school. It helps build a positive environment for learning. When students feel good, they have better learning outcomes. Ed Dunkelblau, former president of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor, Director of the Institute for Emotionally Intelligent Learning, said, "Humor builds a learning relationship through the joyful confluence of head and heart."
Lost on how you can use humor in your classroom? We chuckled at these jokes and thought they would be appropriate for any school environment. Many of them are perfect for posters, quotes for the day, or part of the morning announcements.
